Here is a fantastic chocolate chip cookie recipe that we found. This chocolate chip cookie recipe makes chocolate chip cookies that are perfectly balanced-not too chewy, not too crunchy, with a perfect buttery dough flavor that almost doesn't need the chocolate chips.

Here are the ingredients you will need to gather together before you start cooking:

Chocolate chips-you can use any brand or any amount of chocolate chips, it's all up to your personal preference.
Two eggs (large)
One teaspoon of vanilla flavoring or vanilla extract
Three fourths of a cup of brown sugar (packed)
Three fourths of a cup of white sugar (granulated)
One cup (or two sticks) of unsalted butter, softened.
One teaspoon of salt
One teaspoon of baking soda
Two and one fourth cups of all purpose flour

Here are the steps to follow:

1. Preheat the oven to three hundred and seventy five degrees Fahrenheit.

2. In a small sized bowl, mix together the two and one fourths cups of all purpose flour, one teaspoon of baking soda and one teaspoon of salt. Mix thoroughly and set the bowl aside.

3. Zap the cup (or two sticks) of unsalted butter in the microwave for thirty to forty seconds. Melted butter helps to dissolve the sugars better and makes the beating of the butter easier.

4. In a large bowl, put your zapped unsalted butter and add three fourths of a cup of white sugar (granulated), three fourths of a cup of brown sugar (packed) and one teaspoon of vanilla flavoring or vanilla extract. Mix these ingredients thoroughly together.

5. Beat in one of the large eggs to the butter/sugar/vanilla mixture. Mix together thoroughly.
6. Beat in the second of large eggs into the same mixture and mix thoroughly.

7. Slowly beat in the dry flour/salt/baking soda mixture from the small bowl. Continue mixing until smooth dough forms.

8. Add in the chocolate chips (and any other add ins you feel like)

9. Use a teaspoon to drop blobs of the dough onto cookie sheets. Make sure the drops are a couple of inches apart.

10. Bake the cookie dough for nine-ten minutes until a golden brown. For crunchier cookies, bake for a couple of extra minutes. For chewy cookies, bake for a couple minutes less.

This is a simple and easy to follow chocolate chip cookie recipe for people who don't want to bother with a complicated chocolate chip cookie recipe. Enjoy! These cookies are extremely tasty!

Tip #1

You can save cookie making time by mixing your ingredients while your oven preheats. That way your dough can go right into the oven when you finish mixing your ingredients. You can also save time by cleaning up as you go along. Rinse off the measuring spoons and the bowls as you finish using them. Wash the rest of the dishes as the cookies are baking and cooling.

Tip #2

Shortening is one of the single worst things you can put into your body. If a recipe calls for shortening you should substitute butter or margarine for it. Butter and margarine can be used interchangeably unless a recipe specifically says to use one or the others. Don't worry about the calories and talk yourself into using low calorie or whipped butter. These substitutes will ruin the taste of the cookies.

Tip #3

Rotate your cookie sheets. Cookies form best on ungreased and cooled cookie sheets. After you transfer cookies from the sheet to the cooling rack, you should rinse off the used sheet and get it prepped for another batch of cookies. Using a warmed sheet can overcook the cookies.
